This might sound cliché, but you have to just be cool about it. Show her you want her, not that you need her. Actually, if you actually think you need her already, you have to review your whole mindset haha

I know you guys like to preach abundance mentality but that's a really difficult mindset to have when I only meet a few girls a year that I consider to be girlfriend material.

I can't speak for other people, but I think that's how it should be. If you're walking around life constantly meeting girls that are worth dating seriously, then you're either a liar, have relaxed standards (not that it's a bad thing at all, maybe you're just super chill), or you're a much, much better pickup artist than I am.

I don't interpret abundance mentality as "I find wifey-level girls every other week". To me, it's more of, "I know that I'm generally-speaking an attractive man who's generally-speaking comfortable with the dating process".

I think it's one thing to be attached to a random woman because she smiled at you one time. It's another thing to be attached to a woman because you think there was genuine chemistry. Yeah, too much attachment to anything is almost always bad thing, but I just wanted to add a little more nuance to your idea of "abundance".

I'm going to screw it up by getting overly invested.

A lot of guys want relationships so they don't feel lonely. But a woman will never truly fix the feeling of loneliness. There's an old saying, "wherever you go, there you are". No matter what external changes happen to you, you may still be the same person inside.

Everyone, man or woman, has to discover their reason to wake up in the morning, but that reason has to come from within.

Also, consider going on dates with girls you might not click with right away. The point of dating is to learn about the person and see if she's GF worthy anyway. Sometimes you meet a girl that you click instantly with. Other times, it's a feeling that grows the more you hang out with her. Even if it doesn't go anywhere, you get great practice and experience.

Easy, even if you really like one, don't only talk to one. It is easy to not be only invested in one girl when you are not only invested in one girl.
