Context: I was leaving Uni to walk to where I was getting picked up

Mindset: 1st daygame approach ever - wanted to just do it regardless of the outcome

The Interaction

  • approached and asked where the library was

  • she said she'd show me and we started walking

  • I said 'actually this is kind of bull shit, I just thought you were pretty and wanted to come talk to you'

  • she says 'oh ok'

  • I reply 'what's your name?'

  • She apologetically smiles and says 'sorry I'm not really interested'

  • we carry on walking in silence

  • she points me in the direction of the library

  • we part ways and I say 'thanks have a good one!' - left it on a high note

Reflection

What went well:

  • broke my stupid AA that had been holding me back all day and for the past couple weeks

  • initial momentum and mindset: just thought 'fuck it' and went up to her

  • strong open

What could have been better

  • should have had better eye contact

  • should have tried to stop her in place maybe?

  • probably should have smiled more

  • 'Sorry I'm not really interested' seemed like a very passable shit test - in hindsight all I needed to say was 'Wow that's a very long name how do you spell that?' and laughed
