Most of the time I'm a more reserved type of person. I usually don't cold approach girls during the day but I wanted to share what happened to me last week. Also, please forgive my sub-par story telling & formatting skills.

I was walking from my apartment to the gym which is literally 1 block away. I was crossing the street and a cute blonde who was on the phone was walking towards me crossing the other way. All of the sudden, a car that was making a left got side swiped right in front of her. The dude got hit good and his whole front bumper was off. The van sped away and I got his plates and eventually called the cops but not before she looked up at me and said, "Holy shit that was crazy right?!?!"

"Insane, I got his plates though." I said

She kinda kept walking and I kinda got discouraged but then I did something I never do, I yelled for her to come back.

I started to think of all the tactics I've read on this sub over the past couple years. I remember seeing a few RSD videos that showed the guy going up to girls who were on the phone and taking the phone. I always thought that was such a bold, risky move but I gave it a shot.

I took my right hand and grabbed her left hand then took my left hand put it near the phone and said "can I have this for a sec?"

I put the phone up to my ear and said "Hi who's this?"

"Ummm hi this is (I forget her name)."

I responded "Hi can I have your friend call you back in one minute?"

She said yes and I handed the phone back to the blonde who was smiling.

I told her sorry I just thought she was real cute and asked if she wanted to grab a coffee or a drink sometime. She said she will have to check her schedule but kind of said it jokingly. I asked her for her number and she gave it to me. I told her to go call her friend back and we will talk later.

She ended up texting me that night and we've been talking for about a week. We have drinks tonight :)

Obviously the whole phone thing can go either way but it felt good to step outside my comfort zone and I'm really starting to realize how important it is to at least try to talk to the girl and that it's ok if it doesn't work in your favor. At the end of the day, you tried.

Just wanted to thank everyone on this sub for the great posts and advice. I feel I've really bettered myself over the past couple years.

UPDATE: She didn't flake! She was actually really laid back and kinda funny. We both got pretty drunk and ended up laying on the lawn in central park, then got a bite to eat. The thing that impressed me most, was that she initiated a lot of the questions and conversation. I freakin' love when girls do that because I find it rare. Definitely gonna see her again :) Thanks for all the positive comments.
