I've taken a few lessons from here.

I've restarted my gym training intensely. I'm really happy with the results I'm seeing so far and I'm enjoying it.

I've started studying again. Nothing like the career boost.

I've also enrolled on a few night classes. Nothing groundbreaking, just shit I'm interested in that I never did before.

When I split with my ex, I lost a fair chunk of friends. Most were her friends, but pretty much all my friends are marrieds and their wives won't let them go past the local boozer, where upon they get drunk as quickly as possible within their short allotted time frame.

I know I need to just keep heading out, trying to make new buddies who want to hang out, maybe even score a babe or two. But I'm just finding it hard.

I admit, my ex treated me pretty terribly. She guilted me out for wanting sex, made me more guilty whenever I said no to her over anything and really just wanted me as a paycheck. Now she's gone, I'm happy. But sometimes I just think that maybe that was the very level best I could have done in life.

[insert more self pity shit here]

Just not sure I have a complete direction mapped out. I mean, it feels like I have the ingredients on how to move forward. I'm working out, I've changed my attitude to interaction with people. On the plus side, I changed my attitude when I started my new job. People seem to like me being in charge of myself and reserved with the occasional splash of wit and they seem to be receptive to me.

All the ingredients are there. I just don't know how to bake the cake, so to speak?
