First, become awesome. You ever met someone who you thought was cool and you wanted to interact with them? Seduction and attraction is based around that. It's not necessarily just putting in effort to get people to want you; it's about you just inherently being someone that they want to want.

That said, start investing more into yourself so that you end up awesome. Figure out what would make you awesome. Learning a language? Learning an instrument? Getting in shape? Knowing a lot about a subject? Whatever tickles your fancy, go for it, but you have to care.

Sure, I've thought about doing that. How about going to open mics? Music related meet ups? Did you start learning to sing yet? There are always a million things you haven't tried. Be creative, and come up with a strategy, and always keep improving! Good luck!

Start with level 1: online dating. That's right. Make a profile and start gathering your best pictures. You have to start somewhere, and make it your goal to try improving 1 thing about your profile each week.
Plant long-term seeds for improvement. Find a new hobby besides video games to attract women. I always recommend trying to learn guitar because it's fairly easy believe it or not, and there are tons of free videos online. I made some of those videos myself back in my college days. Start a self-help practice. Search "self-help" in the podcast app on your phone. There are amazing tidbits in each podcast out there.
