Hi, I'm a 22yo student who went through a lot of depression and anxiety growing up. Very introverted and reserved. The effects are decreasing and I'm starting to live a more fullfiling life. I enjoy my life at the moment, but the love and sex part is almost non existant. I had a girlfriend in highschool who pretty much deformed all my expectations of how relationships would be. I was the perfect boyfriend and it looked like it would last forever, but it didn't end well, after two years. Ever since then, I have been having a lot of trouble to get with girls. I bet too much on my feelings and when things don't work I feel like I wasted my chances on a pretty big love. This is not helping whenever I feel horny too, because I mix it with and it just doesn't work. I had some hookups the last months, it's not hard for me to get along with girls, get their numbers, have dates, etc... But I block when I want to show that I want something romantic or just to fool around. Girls say I'm too "cute" and I treat them nice. A friend of mine who I was once attracted to said I am "boyfriend material", as opposed to a friend in common who she got with in a casual way (and whom I envy). I know she said that in a good way, but what do I do if I want casual relationships? It's clearly not working out for me being like this.

In summary, how to stop giving so many sentimental value to a girl, and how to find someone who sees me as just someone to have casual fun with?
