When you are engaging women, you want them to do 80% of the talking. You do this by asking them questions...about them.

You try to build up a rapport as you are asking open ended questions (that can't be answered with a yes, no, maybe, fine, etc) learning about their dreams, goals, and accomplishments.

Do you expect the girl to ask about you? Its not really about you...when you first meet.

Probably means you're boring them. Think about when you're stuck in a conversation with someone you don't really want to talk to. How many questions do you ask him? Probably not many. You ask people questions if you're actually interested in them.

In a pickup situation, a woman is rarely going to be interested in you right off the bat. You have to carry the weight of the conversation and be interesting/attractive enough that you gain her interest. A good indication that you've gained her interest is that she asks you a question. This is called "hook point".

Volumes have been written on how to be interesting to other people, but a good place to start when interacting with women is to make funny observations, accusations, and teases.
