I kind of think direct game is cool and all, but it's only gonna work if she thinks you're hot. And if she thinks you're hot, then you could have gone indirect and it still would have worked.

If you go direct on a girl who doesn't like your look, you'll likely get rejected on the open which won't give yourself a chance to try to 'game' her and try to build attraction

Personally, I think that's not a great approach.

Put in a tiny bit of effort, and try to complement something about her, rather than a totally generic "attractive".
