It's a power dynamic. You're stronger than she is. She has latched onto you and you feel responsible for her. That's a daddy daughter dynamic. It has not much to do with the norm, it's just how it played out for you. Enjoy it and don't hurt the girl.

Possibly developing a kink for DDLG style relationships, which before anyone shits all over this comment, doesn't mandate any sort of age play and just refers to a relationship in which one person takes a dominate caretaker role and the other the role of submissive dependent (for lack of a better word)

Personally I found that I took this kind of role in my relationships before I ever even knew of what DDLG was and always had a caregiver type mentality when it came to my girlfriends, possibly you're just experiencing something similar to my experiences?

Is she fueling this dynamic or is it you? People generally behave in relationships as they have in past relationships. Maybe she has spent a lot of time with her father growing up; simple as that.
