Dealing with a girl who is flaking over text seems to be one of the common and intractable issues guys face. We all know it wouldn't happen if the girl was attracted enough, but obviously that's not always the case. I'd like to enumerate all the different options, along with a healthy discussion around them to find the best course of action. I will edit this thread to add more options from the comments.

1. Ignore

The most obvious course of action and the one most guys would recommend to each other. Ignore her and see if she comes back to you with more interest. Pros: You save face. You don't give her what she wants (attention) so she may come back to you later. Cons: A girl who's not interested is unlikely to re-initiate so it's basically game over. You will lose a chance to ignite something with all the "borderline" girls.

2. Don't react, but keep asking

"sure, no problem, another time"
"hey, wanna do X tonight..."

You know the drill. Eventually she'll either accept, or stop responding. Pros: you may catch her at the right time (horny, lonely) to land a date. Cons: you may start feeling like a fool eventually. you're not doing anything to actively increase attraction levels

3. All the reaction options

get angry / alpha male: e.g. "sorry, but I don't have time for games"

call her out + inform of no more attention (mini-anger version): e.g. "hmm... this doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I guess the vibe is gone. Let's call it a day. Enjoy your weekend"

call her out, playful versions: "disappointed. You've lost 10 brownie points. Drinks are on you, and I expect a sexy outfit! ;-)"

call her out, challenge version": "I'm getting the feeling someone is getting a bit anxious about going on a real date ;-)"

if given the chance, flake on her once: "Next week I'm the one that can't make it I'm afraid. I'll ping you in 2 weeks when I'm back"
