It is a boring Tuesday afternoon, and I find myself checking into a classic hotel in the downtown area of possibly the most boring city I visit regularly. On my way to the elevator, see a fairly attractive redhead, early 20's, black bikini, book in hand, headed to the pool level. Here's the missed opportunity for the PUA:

Here regularly so I know the pool is heated, secluded, basement level, never visited, in an ultra boring town. She's got a book in hand, but dressed to impress. This is the most boring place on earth and she's alone mid-day.

Headed to the gym moments later to get in a workout, which is on the same level as the pool, and noticed she is not at the empty pool. This tells us that basically she had ..

1) no real intent to swim at the pool, 2) no real intent to read at the pool, and 3) was looking for anything to cure her boredom.

For a PUA, this would be an opportunity they'd seize in a heartbeat. I'm not a PUA, but the point is that opportunity exists for those who see the bigger picture.
