Is it better to live with other roommates in a better location to nightlife and activities or alone in a place farther from nightlife and activities?

Am moving to a new city this summer for a job, and was wondering which option would be better (prices seem to be the same for each I think):

Roommates in better location:

Pros: Have people to talk to, closer to everything

Cons: Might be more awkward to bring girl back to place, privacy

Alone in worse location:

Pros: Privacy, easier to bring girl back alone

Cons: Farther away from everything, harder to plan dates and go to bars and stuff
