[College] Would it be weird to ask a girl out in class before it actually starts?

I actually asked out a girl before class started. Let me rephrase. I asked out a girl before HER class started.

Things were going really great with this girl. She was showing yuge IOIs. I mean, believe me. The IOIs were bigly.

However, she was taking up too much of my mental space and I had to focus on my senior thesis. I had just watched the "burn it to the ground" RSD video. I figured, "Fuck it. Let's do this."

I walked into her economics class before it started and I asked her out in front of her whole class.

It was a bad move because she is a super sheltered introvert that was homeschooled in a very religious, conservative household. I wish I had taken that into consideration.

Anyway, she said

No, thanks.

as if I casually offered her some chips.

Anyway, I went waaaay overboard with the value. I later found out that she thought I was some kind of super pimp because I hung around attractive females (they would come up to me and hug me to say hello n such).

She still showed IOIs, but I backed off big time because I was just too busy to build comfort.

If you ask, make sure that she'd be the kind of girl that appreciates grand gestures and that you have a good amount of value AND comfort.
