Yes be unrealistic, but also be realistic. This is quite a bit too much black and white thinking.

Don't think you can get that girls number, just by asking her without building some comfort. Be realistic.

Don't think you can make a million dollars by next year. Be realistic, get a degree first, fail once or twice and then maybe you have that million dollars. Be realistic.
