New to TRP, still learning the basics and looking for some advice.

This has happened twice recently so I'm looking for some insight, and advice on how to respond...

Background I'm 26, pretty good looking, don't have trouble getting dates, and have never had this happen before.

The Situation With two separate girls, after a successful first dates when I kiss closed both of them and they both said they wanted to go out again, they have texted something along the lines of "I had a great time with you, but I recently broke up with someone and I'm not ready to be going out again."

I tried different responses with each of these girls. The first girl I just said that was fine with me, wished her the best and cut contact. With the second girl who said ("She wasn't ready for something serious"), I said that was perfect for me, because I'm moving out of the city in a few months, and I was just looking to have fun, but that didn't change her mind.

My Thoughts I have two ideas of what is happening here.

1) I'm seeming too interested in them, decreasing my SMV and killing the attraction. 2) This is actually some type of shit test, and I'm just not passing it.

What do you guys think is going on and what can I do to stop this?
