Lift, dress well, get on a good diet, approach women and men, build up a big social circle and chase your passion in life; not women.

Um . . .

On women:
Do not even CONSIDER long-term commitment until you are through with your first wave of education, be it college, trade school, or a couple of hitches in the military.

Date. Date a LOT. Approach many women AND men. Cultivate a WIDE social circle.

Look at her mama. They all turn into their mama eventually. If her mama is fat at 40, SHE'LL be fat at 40 and you'll be married to her for another 20 - 30 years. (Expecting a woman to look 19 all her life is unfair and unrealistic. We all get older and our bodies change. But they don't have to get FAT dammit.)

On Health: Lift. You gotta lift, bro. Strength training helps keep your weight down, builds confidence, improves your looks . . . you name it, weight lifting helps.

Moderation: Keep alcohol and tobacco occasional indulgences, not relaxation aids. Both are toxins and undermine your physical and mental well being.

19 is an excellent time to start culling non-useful relationships of people who sap your strenght and efforts. If you're still hanging out with loser friends from high school, time to cut the cord. The skill is useful earlier, but this is pretty much the most pronounced time for it for a lot of people's lives.

No need to give a speech or anything about how they're dragging you down, since you don't want to make enemies, just a gradual drifting away like 2 boats headed in different directions in the ocean.

If you're feeling sentimental, can always offer them a ride on journey of self-improvement "Wanna go to the gym?" or whatever, most don't take it. Might not apply to you specifically, but to a lot of post-HS teens.
