The problem I have is that I got used to approaching sets in order to attract a single girl and its affecting my interactions with people in life generally.

You do realize that MM has flaws which cause problems down the road? Like the ones you're experiencing now.

You realize that a lot of the old school guys who followed this style, have been harmed by it? Style checked himself into therapy after he found that he couldn't settle down even when he wanted to. He ended up changing his whole philosophy.

And Mystery can't hold down a stable relationship even though he wants to. The mother of his children won't let him see them. The guy had a rather public meltdown on social media because of it.

What if I want to approach people just to be friends with them. Do you guys have any advice or comments on this situation.

Yeah, drop the crutch that is MM. Consider a more comprehensive and practical approach.

Seduction isn't some game that guys unilaterally do to a girl.

It's socializing. Same core skills whether you're hitting on a girl or talking to an old man in the grocery store.

Pay attention. Actively listen to people.
Get people talking about themselves.

This would be a start.

Downside of MM, you'll soon need a friend routine, a grandparents routine, family dinner routine etc. Learn natural game, once you get principles down, you can talk and seduce in any situation or make friends etc.

MM is the starter pack, but it has too man routines and canned techniques. You can use it as a basic entry, but focus more ok being natural and doing what Models describes with less routines and more it being "you".
