So I get this girl's number and within two days I've got her back to my place and going at it. She brings up the relationship talk and I tell her I don't want one right now, which is completely true. Hurt her feelings but I can't help that. I don't want one with any girl right now. Anyway, I already figured out she had issues, but I didn't think they would come out during this encounter. She actually has some legitimate life issues going on and I really actually feel sorry for her. Now, I don't care enough about this girl to try and keep her around for sex or company, but me being empathetic, I talked with her about some of it, considering she said she didn't have anyone else talk about it with. I don't mind people venting to me at times. I try to be a altruistic and empathetic person but where I think I messed up is where I allowed her, in her particular state of being, to vent and lean on me and now I fear she has become emotionally dependent on me, which is something I do NOT want. I have already decided not to keep her around for sex, and to make it clear I do not want a relationship, but what would be a good way to softly push her away, without possibly destroying this girl emotionally, and get her to not be totally dependent on me for emotional support? Again, I don't mind helping every once in a while, but I don't want to be a emotional crutch to this girl especially considering I don't care about sleeping with her anymore. I do feel like this is a TIFU situation and would like some perspective. Thanks guys.
