What I would do is come up with some bullshit way to get a conversation going like asking for the time or asking her to help you read some tiny text or something. From there you can just be like "I've seen you around a lot, what's your name?".

Yes I would do this at the gym whenever really just make sure that she's done with a set or whatever.

Ever time I, or one of my friends, meets a girl in the gym, they're always the ones to approach. It doesn't hurt that we're both pretty and lift heavy.

what I would do is get rid of the fear and irrational conclusions you've set in your mind by approaching many many people. Maybe even get a job around it so you could see your blindspots in the kind of mirror those interactions can create.

what YOU could do, is find a reason to approach her that makes you feel like you have permission to. A quick fix like this can get your foot in the door so you can spend time to learn more about her

you can tell her about a cool website or hand her your phone and ask for help to beat a game of jewels LOL theres a 100% chance she'll be friendly and accepting bc you sort of know each other.

don't ask for directions to something or what to eat. some gym girls are chatty and some are super quiet. They are both really fun if you have a plan for both. also when girls are super sweaty that act alittle bit different than they normally do, but dont sweat it.

I open girls at gym by asking/stating something at the water cooler, asking to take turns on an apparel, or by motivating/teasing them.

You might want to start by saying hello and a smile, rather than a creeper stare. Its not tough to get on a first name basis with a girl, and after a few interactions you will pretty much know if she's interested or just being friendly.
