Some girls crave attention, almost in a competitive fashion. There's a chance that they just wanted to know they were desirable, and that's all. I'd take it as a compliment, and move on.

I had a chick like that at work. Tried to touch her back but she physically/verbally recoiled. Totally startled me since it was at work and she's always touched me.

She might be into you, might not, she might be just a loser who craves attention. Just don't let her touch you ever again(parry her hands with Bruce Lee sounds) . Not even worth thinking about.
