I was at the gym today and girl is blatantly checking me out as I'm deadlifting some serious weight. Ok, next exercise, 100 lb dumbbell tricep extensions, still checking me out. I'm vibing well with the heavy tunes cranked. I feel good at this point. If she wasn't working out with her female friend I probably would have approached. I think about opening both of them, but I haven't reached that level yet.
Mistake #1 - I walk by her to get a towel to wipe off equipment. She's looking at me, I kinda grimace smirk and look away. Ok, big mistake, it's in her court now.
Mistake #2 - I get closer to her to perform an exercise I was going to do later in my routine anyways. I freeze up and don't say anything, just show no emotion as I'm performing my exercise. She walks away.
Mistake #3 - by this point I'm pissed off by my 2 mistakes. She goes close to the dumbbells, and I need to perform an exercise there anyways so I get close again. I'm pissed off so there is some extra umph to my sets. I'm done my workout and so I walkout at the same time as her. Guaranteed, I'm assuming this girl and her friend thinks I'm stalking her by now.
Now my question is, if I break eye contact early is it game over for me or am I over thinking this whole thing?
Chalk it up as a loss and moving on.
