After reading the TRP sidebar link on powertalk and /u/bicepsblastingstud's explanation of the types of communication, I realised that my primary method of communication (straight talk) is holding me back. Often I use gametalk to get what I want when I want it but this is rarely in sexual strategy; I am lost when it comes to powertalk though.

I was wondering if it is possible to learn powertalk or whether it's a natural mechanism? Are there any resources to help me improve recognition of powertalk and my own discourse, as well as repressing my overbearing need for straight talk at nearly all times?
