I used to be the same way as you. One thing that I learned from experience is to just calm down. If you know she's into you and she looks like she might be waiting for a kiss then she probably is. The worst that can happen is you misinterpret it, if that does happen just laugh and tell her you though it looked like she wanted you to kiss her. The biggest piece of advice I can give you is that things only become awkward if you make it a big deal, just laugh and move on with the conversation.

For me:

1) If she wants a 2nd date, she's interested in me enough to most likely accept a kiss from me.

2) If she's often very deep in my personal space, more than what's normal, she'll likely accept a kiss from me.

3) If she wants to hang around longer with me socially when most women would bounce, she'll likely accept a kiss from me.

Non-verbal communication is a powerful tool.

Also, when I can't read women, and I feel like there's a possibility they'd be down for a kiss, I just ask them and they'll generally say yes if interested.

I kiss girls all the time with little to no IOI. I just lightly grab their chin with 2 fingers and lead their lips to mine. If she rejects makes a joke about it. Don't apologize. I've kissed hundreds and hundreds of women and I think I've only been rejected a couple of times. Girls love kissing.

Its only as awkard as you make.

Sometimes you just don't know. the usual indication is when she gets quiet....that means she's waiting for you to do something.
