I just met you- You are not attractive enough to her to sleep with at this moment. She is telling you that she doesn't feel comfortable with the notion of going with you. You have not built enough rapport with this girl to move her. You get around this by changing venues with her and introducing her to new stimuli. An example would be going to a new bar and playing pool. The main point here is that you need to build rapport. Keep talking and don't give up.
I have to find my friend- this is a timeless classic. You need to find her friend introduce yourself and generally make the friend like you. This isn't always necessary , but it will be way easier when it comes time to pull the girl. If you can get the friends to like you , you're nearly all the way home. Many girls will not leave without making sure their friend is ok. This is also a question of rapport and peacocking. She shows you to her friends to get a reaction and see if they approve.
I'm on my period- another timeless classic. Sometimes this is true and some girls won't have sex because of it. Most times this is just an anti slut excuse and can easily be over come by agreeing and amplifying.
