Where would you suggest someone like me, who has never belonged to a group of actual men who do things like men, to acquire or become a part of such a group? This is why TRP is so amazing, it's essentially just that, a gang, although existing only in a medium that lacks tangible or visible demonstrations of the vital unity that defines manhood.
Even No More Mr. Nice Guy expresses the importance of male friends for men who did not have strong fatherly bonds and a strong attachment to their mothers.
Those two books have essentially clarified and underscored the root of all my problems. My current friends, they too depict the same problems explained in those two books which men today face.
Additionally, I made a new friend in school who likes fishing I asked if I could tag along the next time he goes as I've never done it myself, it's an activity described by TWOM to be a part of simulation masculinity. I'm not done with the book yet so I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. Being good at being a man is hard. Any advice is welcomed, thanks for reading.
