Met my interest through an on campus housing event, got number which lead to a few texts that were 'fake' or being handled by a friend of hers who I also know. Both the interest and the friend came back, I called out friend in a jokingly manner, we laughed it out. Later throughout the night a group of us decided to head out to eat nearby, which led to is riding there (Biking/Skating/Scooter) once we reached at said place we all ate except said interest even when I offered to buy some food. I flirted and did the obvious queues such as lightly touching here and there, she did flinch once and I replied with "My bad." Ended off night at 'home-base' with the group, we did get a moment and I told her to hit me up and we'll talk later today. She wasn't tired and she always walk around with said friend a lot. Extra Info: The interest is very quiet and timid. The friend she hangs out is a close friend of mine and we joke around a lot, which led to the 'fake' texts or texts he responded to due to the interest giving her phone to him. Plus the friend who is also my friend had a interest in her last semester and got rejected.

Am I overthinking it? Is my close friend trying to prevent it from happening? Am I too self-conscious?

tl;dr: Interest interaction went well, I escalated it pretty well. A close friend who's friend with said interest walks around with her. Don't know how to escalate it from here. Edit: Found out more info that said friend is still interested and pursuing since it wasn't a 'full rejection' or an official one and they're going to go hang out at his hometown in the future and he knows more personal or family things about her.
