She seemed pretty fair in her assessment. She said the most important thing for me which was that the standards are there for a reason and they should not be altered. She just wanted more preparation available. It's like in university, you always want a review of what you need to be study. Its a sense of entitlement people have grown to be accustomed too. She noted that she could've prepared better.

She has no right to that preparation but I dont really see the issue here.

Passing the course is a requirement for any Marine looking to become an infantry officer; and the reality that no woman to date has been able to pass is just one of many challenges the military is facing in fully implementing the ban’s repeal by the 2016 deadline.

So let me get this straight.

After all that sound and fury over repealing the ban, only 14 women have even attempted to join combat roles (03 MOS), and not one single woman has made the cut?

“I got to a point throughout the test that my body just couldn't perform anymore,” she said. “And I wasn't able to complete the task that I needed to be able to complete; and you know, I couldn't continue past that point. So, myself and 26 other men all failed at this point. So, it was a tough realization. I really wanted to believe I had a shot of making it through.”

I have a friend who is a marine, when he went in he was probably one of the most fit people I've even known. Even he talked about how grueling and miserable the whole ordeal was. I'm tired of lowering standards in our society to prevent people from feeling bad/getting offended. Maybe some people need to be offended, it's better than the alternative of complete mediocrity.

Women in combat is a terrible fucking idea. And while her assessment is fair somewhat. I'll say she didn't seem as bitter as most average women would. But set up to fail is the whole of the officer infantry course, get fucking used to it.

I didn't whine through boot camp and I went in blind as a bat and unprepared. It was 13 weeks of hell this cunt already went through basic OCS she knew damn well what was coming and had ample time to prepare so for her to complain about is utter bullshit. Don't believe her crap for a second.

Women don't seem to understand that they can only (for the most part) keep up with teh menz because teh menz want to bone them so they tone down the speed.
