I was discussing something with a friend I'd seen on joe rogan's podcast. That the people with the most privileges are the ones who usually give most offence. And that a black feminist transgender Muslim would be the ultimate example.
Unfortunately our new friend is a Muslim girl. Quite traditional. I could see her taking it wrong and my face changes visibly. I backpedaled and made it clear I didn't mean that in an offensive manner and that my foot fit quite well in my mouth.
I also texted her later to the same effect. That I'd never meant offense, and how I'd heard the line. What should I do?
