I'm still new to game, found this subreddit only a few months ago, so i realize i might've made some mistakes with this girl, who is an exchange student. I'm 20 yrs old and studying in an university, and she's 18 but in a high school, since her country's way of studying is somewhat different, i guess. We were chatting for a while via snapchat since she lives 20kms away from me.
We had been on a couple of dates in my city and made out with her on both of them (no sex yet since we both have busy schedules and both dates were done in a time when i had to go elsewhere quickly after the date).
She initiated conversations often and had long replies, our chats were often quite sexual too, but at times she shifted the conversation to more casual topics though. I wasn't ever acting needy with her, even though i'm not meeting lots of other girls, so i rarely gave long replies and never replied faster than her.
She was supposed to come to my place to watch netflix tonight, which would have definitely lead to sex judging by how sexual our snapping was before that.
Last night though, she took hours to reply to my snap, and it only said that "she is really sorry, but she wishes we would stop talking" and that "it's not me, it's her". Now this statement is almost never true, even i know that.
I feel like it was a needy move to reply with, "okay, would like to know why though", but that's what i sent her. She replied with "i think i'm falling in love with a guy from school, so i don't think it's a good idea to talk to a guy from tinder... i'm soo sorry since you're such a good guy and we had such a perfect time together."
Of course i was a bit hurt. I was starting to get attached to this girl, since we were vibing really good when we met and she was quite cute. I tried to show i'm not affected this by too much and replied with "well good luck with him then, i would have loved to make your exchange year a lot more exciting, hope he can do it too".
She kept repeating how sorry she was and how i was an awesome person. I said i'll delete her snapchat if she doesn't want to talk to me anymore, cause i thought it would be best, since i got the vibe she wasn't as attracted anymore and wouldn't want to talk, regardless of the apologies and telling i'm an awesome person (and in my clingy mind, i hoped she would say something like "noo i might still change my mind")
She replied with "if you want to do so, you can, i'm still sorry. Really." I didn't reply to that and deleted her snap. Did i react correctly? If not, what should i have done better? I know from now on i'll start pursuing other girls and get more abundance. In my university, there are lots of hot girls with hot friends and lots of parties, so becoming abundant shouldn't be hard.
Still, i'm upset over this though. She is "falling in love" with some 16-17 year old kid, who probably still lives with his parents. My snapstories were full of parties with attractive people, me fooling around at the gym with friends (don't worry, i actually lift with a purpose too) and interesting things, such as travelling and doing outdoorsy stuff. She always viewed them and commented how awesome life i have.
She was hotter than most girls in my country. There aren't lots of exchange students in my city, so the exotic appeal of her might also be one of the reasons i probably started to get a bit of oneitis with her. I've been wondering is there any chance she is going to hit me up again? She goes to my city often and to the same clubs as i do.
I know i should get over her, but right now i'm in a bit of a grieving stage, since it happened yesterday and i'm a beginner with not much experience. So what should i have done differently, and what can i learn of this? Thanks for advice!
