Going to the club after a professional formal event in which I don't know anyone there. Need some advice on what to do.

Do they have to know you're alone? Just point at a random someone that is with a chick and be like "We'll he seems busy" and shit. Girls don't really care usually when you're alone if you don't let them know. When I approach girls at a club, I don't approach them with a group of friends, people usually do their own shit anyways. I go with my friends, and I go on my own to chase girls on the dance floor. They never ask who I am with or if I'm alone EVER. So just go, have fun. You're never truly alone, your company keeps you company, and you're the one who chooses if it's a good one to keep around. ;)

It takes balls of steel to go out alone at night so props to you for taking that risk. I have gone out alone to clubs as well and it is really scary, apart from the usual pressure of approaching there's the additional pressure of being alone and feeling judged because of this. The method I have applied in my case is to have small interactions with anyone as quickly as possible and build it up from there.

For example, I usually start out asking dumb questions like what are people drinking or how has the mood in the club been so far. The point of this is not to have a good conversation, but mostly to get out of my own head and start getting some sort of momentum. From there I would build up on these interactions like giving a compliment on something or make a random assumption. Again, this is all to loosen me up and make me feel less pressured. From there I start talking to women and seeing where it goes. I'm not gonna lie, it;s really hard to keep the momentum going especially when you get rejected but it is possible. I've been able to get a few numbers from nights like this so it is possible. Also from what I understand you will be spending time with these people prior to going to the club so maybe you could talk with them beforehand to establish some sort of familiarity.
