It's like asking if there's a good time to get off Heroin. The answer is probably right now. The only reason not to do so is because of the job and if you could lose your job as a result in some weird way. Fuck that holiday bullshit who cares.

First I ask if there's any chance of her being hotter? Could she lose weight? Change her style etc? In my experience there is an inverse correlation between hotness and being LTR material (see your own intentions after increasing your SMV). I imagine it would be optimal if you could manage to increase the hotness while retaining the quality of woman in this scenario.

However, if that's not the case, then honesty (to a degree) is the best route imo. "This isn't working for me", "We're going separate ways in our lives", "I want to explore other options but I'm not the cheating type" etc.

There's no reason to be harsh or cruel. Just let her down gently and move on. You mean her no ill will and (hopefully) you'll be impervious to the shit she does in retaliation. (rage, emotional manipulation, sloot'n it up)

Why not try and 'open' the relationship? IDK but it may be a way to 'have your cake and eat it', so to speak, who knows, she might hook up with some dude and you go ballistic with jealousy, you won't know till it happens ....

IME I never had a LTR last more than 2 yrs, and IMO I think that's becoz 'chemistry' is highly biological, and the 'chemistry' changed!
