I made friends with a coworker who is gay, and he keeps going to the bar with me. He knows almost all the women, so this guy keeps introducing me to people.

This helps me not have to approach groups of people, but also let's me expand my social circle, which is my main goal currently. I've only been single for two months and it was a 5year relationship.

Anyways the reason why this didn't feel like I was denied was because I told her she was super pretty and I didn't even recognize her. She was a couple grades younger than me in high school. She received that compliment and multiple others and hung around me all night.
