I used to pass notes to the girls next to me in lectures, but didn't go for the # close on first note. (Can't remember if the note was the first contact or not, but I remember passing notes and building attraction that way)

Makes sense if the library is a quiet place, otherwise I'd be wondering why you didn't just talk to me like a normal person.

It depends. Something like that could be so novel they'd be taken aback by it. They'd inevitably size you up, so you'd need to exude confidence. I feel like for most women that really wouldn't work. If you're doing this at University campus and you're a student, if you are going to do this only do it on younger looking women. 18-21 max. When you try this on older students who are trying to move on up in life this wouldn't fly at all. For ones it works on you'll almost certainly be given an immediate shit test you'd have to pass with flying colors. I'd go ahead and try it out. It's a unique idea, and you need thick skin for approaches anyway.
