OK. It's holiday time. It's Christmas time. It's whatever the hell you celebrate's time. The key component in all of this is tonnes of food whether you want to or not.

Those of us with families to visit or parties to throw will no doubt come up against a metric tonne of food drink and whatever else.

I set myself a goal this holiday period. I currently weigh 88kg and have a fat percentage of 11% as measured today. If I'm the same or less after Xmas, I'll be happy. So, not a difficult challenge, just be the same or better after Xmas. What do you win? How about a good ounce more respect for yourself and a nice feeling of accomplishment!

It will involve saying no to a family of Irish Catholics who believe everything in the world must be cooked and more besides. It will involve declining the amazing amounts of home cooked minced pies gracing the kitchen tables at work. It will mean hanging back on the booze while friends get utterly rat-arsed on calorific booze while you're the sensible sober driver on the odd apple juice. It will involve reserving that glass of champagne for NYE on the strike of midnight!

And for me, it will involve a gym session every day. Yes, I even plan on working out on Xmas day waiting for my sister, her kid and a couple of cousins to come over for some good ol raceAround126 vague attempt at cooking Xmas Dinner. OK I'm not bad at Xmas dinner, except this year my horrible ex isn't around to tell me what a loser I am all the way through!

While everyone around me is getting fat from these shenanigans, I'll be standing fast in my resolve to not destroy the work I've done at the gym! this last year was the first year in my life I could actually say, I actually have a flat stomach. And fuck me if I'll let Xmas ruin it.

Whether you're in my boat in terms of fitness or have a lot more work to do, make this Xmas a fit one. Not one where you drop all your committed gym work you've done to become the hot piece of chud women want to fuck! We all know turkey and stuffing is great, but let's not overdo it, eh?

Post your measurements here! And tell me how you're going to keep your resolve!
