Never lie about the nature of your relationship . If your polyamorous then say so .

Tell her simply that yes you do but will be willing to consider exclusivity if she does too ( if that's what you want)

Here's the thing: dating other women doesn't serve the function of really avoiding pain or neediness. Without an actually improved mindset, all you've done in dating more women is multiply the neediness across all the girls you're dating and multiply the chances of being hurt.

In this scenario, you're describing someone who's dating other people out of fear.

There's nothing wrong with dating around casually because you're exploring people. But realistically, more people doesn't shield you from a thing. If you're legitimately exploring something in a healthy way, that's going to include risk of emotional pain.

The catch is that you should be trying not to build up your expectations unrealistically, based on something not real.

This could also indicate that you're acting shady and unreliable while with someone who asks this.

Without more details about this particular situation, it's hard to tell why she's asking or what a "good response" would be.
