Because they have a lot of options so they don't feel the need to put in that much work because sex is pretty much guaranteed for them anyway. Also, doing this actually shows they have better social skills, you'll understand why as you read further.

For your main question: You're not really doing anything to make her want to text more. You shouldn't be so entitled to think that women will just be very explicit when texting you. She doesn't know you, why should she put that much work in?

What I do is send deliberately short messages. That way if she sends long messages then she's clearly investing more in the interaction but if she sends short messages then our levels of investment more or less balance out. If you want to keep the upper hand, you never want to be seen as the person working harder.

Some people may argue that its nice to be expressive and have a lot of meaningful things to say and display your personality in that way. But here's the thing, often that statement is made very generally and ignoring context.

So lets include context. You're on a dating site messaging a girl you don't know, both of you literally have thousands of options and the possibility of catfishing is very real for both of you. So what does it say about you when you open up so quickly to one option who might not even look like their photos?

You probably don't have a lot of matches because you're doing a lot with one girl.
You probably don't have that many friends because you feel the need to be so expressive which means you probably don't have that many conversations throughout your day.

This idea of displaying your personality to attract one girl is kind of ludicrous. If you want to use your personality, do it in situations where many girls are watching, like social media or in some sort of performance because then you aren't desperate to impress a specific person, there just happen to be pretty girls who get to see what you're about. What's better in one on one interactions is to make her earn the right to see your personality. Making women work for you causes them to be attracted to you anyway and you don't have to put yourself out there all that much. You can literally reveal nothing about you and have girls wanting you if you get good at it.

This is how you should go about texting girls on dating apps:

Give them value
Take away some value
Qualify

Giving value

The opener should have been: "I like girls that aren't crazy" short and sweet.

Then she says, "Hii :'D"

Then you move on to...

Take away some value

By responding with: "I hope you aren't boring though."

Worst case scenario is that she says something like, "I'm nott :'D"

So then you...

Qualify

With something like: "Oh really? Are you adventurous?"

Worst case scenario she says "Yes"

To which you respond with: "Great! Not crazy, adventurous, good so far. What's the most adventurous thing you've done?"

The open ended question makes her have to give you a longer response. It may not be too long but longer. Maybe something like: "Me and my friends once broke into my neighbors house to skinny dip in their hot tub."

To which you say: "That is awesome! Man, lot of boring girls on this site but you're fun so far. How'd you guys do it?"

And she says something like: "My friend showed us this bump key thing and said it can open pretty much any lock so we decided to test it on the door to my neighbors backyard and surprisingly it opened and........."

You should notice her responses grow longer and longer the further you qualify.

If you take a look at this example what is the only thing you explicitly say about yourself?

"I like girls that aren't crazy" that's it.

Everything else is her telling you about herself.

Now notice the giving and taking value is very short. That's because those are only a means to an end to reach qualification. Also, you'll notice when we get to qualification we're being quite lavish with our praise. Why? When she does something you want her to do (like be explicit in her replies) you want to make her feel good so as to encourage her to do more. So you qualify her and when she complies you praise her and you'll notice as you qualify further and further her responses will become longer and longer.

What if she doesn't comply? What if she says, "I don't remember doing anything adventurous recently." then you punish her and give her an easier question to answer. Be like, "Oh cmon' don't get boring on me now. What's something you did in the last month that's out of your normal routine?" then go back to rewarding and asking for more from there. You only want to punish when she doesn't do what you want, otherwise just keep encouraging her to say more and more and more.

Oh yeah, you might ask, "How do you turn this into a date?"

Qualify her on characteristics or preferences that'd be good for a date. Adventurousness is already a good trait, Spontaneous is another. A girl who tries to prove she has those two traits is more likely to quickly go on a date with a guy she just met on a dating site. ;)

You are putting yourself out there way too much man. Girls are always curious, they will ask questions, but honestly, girls love the excitement of mystery, Don't answer their questions directly, if you do, leave plenty of space open. Look at my most recent conversation. She initiates the frame, asking me the questions, I pull her out of her shit and put her back into MY frame, I'm the one asking questions, not her & look at the result. This is how you properly text game. Keep the mystery alive, show qualities with the way you put up your frame, close the damn thing and move to more interesting grounds.
