I've been seeing posts about approaching on r/AskWomen where some guy will ask "what's the right way to approach a girl in a non creepy way" or something like that and like 90% of the women always say to never approach, it's creepy, it's uncomfortable, she doesn't want to be bothered etc. I understand many women have poor experiences with guys' approaches but many just act like it is out right wrong to approach. I've seen posts by women on there saying it's selfish or if they come up to give me a compliment it just shows that you don't care about her personality and only came up to her because she's pretty/you dont even know her (but yeah, your looks drew me towards you but doesn't mean I dont wanna get to know you. I cant get to know you if you dont let me).

Overall it kind of just seemed depressing. We don't get attention all the time like women and we don't have alot of options. It makes sense for us to go up and take an opportunity and chat with her. Like, I get that there are guys who do it poorly but even if we do it politely it's as if they think we're bad people for trying. Cold approaching and daygame clearly show positive results, so, why do so many women say otherwise?
