Recently a girl I'm interested in (and have obviously flirted with) invited me out for a first date. Result! She hasn't told me what she has planned but I think there is an event on that she wants to go to (I'd enjoy it too).
So two common pieces of advice in this community are (in this instance) conflicting.
- The guy leads. I should be the one demonstrating my confidence and value by selecting the venues and driving the evening forward. Makes sense.
- You want to be in a position where the girl is chasing. Her asking me out shows that she is invested and makes my job easier. Great!
At the moment I plan on accepting the invite and will tell her to meet me earlier, then pepper the evening with fun 'diversions'. Go for to trendy cocktail bar with pool table > walk through park > stop at cool veggie restaurant > arrive at her event, find some privacy and enjoy the evening together > profit
Cheers
