You ever approach a woman, get into small talk, try to find out more about her, only for her answers to questions like "what do you do for fun" to be shit like "I dunno, hang out with friends?"

I never know how to move forward after that. Here's an example of a recent conversation I've had (kinda a mini-field report, I guess).

"What do you do for fun?"

"I dunno, hang out with friends? I work a lot."

"Are you artsy? Do you like to paint?"

"Haha, no."

"Are you more sciencey? Like maths and physics?"

"No, I didn't do too well in school, haha."

"Really? I took you for a total whiz-kid genius. You mean you weren't class valedictorian?"

"Haha, no."

"Well, how about I be your tutor?"

"I don't need a tutor."

"Then I can show you how to have fun. You know, all work and no play…"

"Haha, I have a boyfriend."

I usually am only into women who actually have passions, especially either artsy or brainy girls. But when it comes to women with whom I'd be down to have casual fun, even if I wouldn't want to date them, they can be those, I dunno what you call them, but boring thotty girls who have no interests or hobbies and just look like typical Instagram girls or something.

But I have NO IDEA how to talk to them, because nothing they say about themselves naturally leads into any kind of conversation. How can people be so damn boring, and how are you supposed to get down with boring-but-hot people?
