So if I can get your number I can call you and we can go over some details” ( all in joking manner) ( your delivery is important) its fun , light hearted, and in Direct , so if she says no it’s not important cus you were asking about the glasses not a rejection to you . 🤣

First off, if a girl says 'thank you' after a compliment, you probably already did it wrong IF your goal is to get her interested in you.

Here's how you compliment a woman you are trying to pursue. You need to create a 'push-pull' effect. IE tension, but GOOD tension. Fun lighthearted tension.

There are a few ways to do this. One is to give a subtle insult. The pick up community calls it a 'neg'. Generally I don't do it cause it can go wrong and come out as too mean. It has become more obviously as well which makes it look fake. A way to do it in your case may be: "Those glasses look cute on you. A tiny bit too 'hipster' though. I don't know how I feel about that." Then move right along. You say the last part in a way that let her know your kidding. This allows you to compliment her without putting her on a pedestal. When you do that you make her feel awkward and you lower yourself. Very unattractive things for a potential romantic partner to do.

Another thing you can do is give her a compliment and make a joke about the compliment right after. That is what I like to do. Basically it lets you say something nice about her without it having to be serious or with importance placed upon it. This could be for example: "Those glasses look good on you, they also no doubt help to keep your super hero identity a secret, which is nice too I suppose." This allows you to compliment her which putting emphasis on it. You said it and then move right along like it isn't a big deal, cause it isn't. However she still heard it and feels good but also knows you don't feel intimidated or that you don't think she is above you. There is no need to give her validation that she's special to you until she is ACTUALLY special to you.

There are other ways to compliment a girl you are potentially looking into getting to know romantically but they are about the same.

Here is one of my favorite things to do with a compliment. It is a bit outside the box but still follows the 'rules' so to speak. Let's say I use your exact word.

Me: You look good in your glasses. Her: Thank you!! Me: Well? Her: Well what? Me: Well where's my compliment?! I gave you one! (you need to really hit the the mark on the exaggeration here). She could laugh and become a bit flusted. Her: Ummm I don't know (laugh)

You go on from there and be super playful about it. I wouldn't try to do something like that though until you have more experience flirting.

If you're already in a conversation with them, just wait till you're in the middle of talking about something. Then just throw it in and keep going. Very natural

Drop the compliment, don't expect a response and go "ANYWAY... da da durrr (next thing)"

Here there is a problem, what did expect in return? Your compliment has no real intention besides just that...compliment, it is better if you follow the compliment with a direct approach:

"Wow You look so good with those glasses, who who are you?"

The formula is simple:

Compliment + intention

Follow up with a question even if with rhetorical/joke one.

Your glasses look great. Where did you find them ? Coffee you make is great. "Thank you". You must be using some kind of magic water do you ? Who is your drug dealer?"huh" The pie you made was so great I'm pretty sure it had coke in it.

This is for all interactions. When and if you should compliment while flirting is another question.
