My bread and butter has been daygame. Despite the social stigma surrounding approaching strangers, I love opening girls on the streets, subway, grocery stores...wherever. However recently I've been getting into sober club game and have been struggling with the new challenges it presents:

- During the day there is basically no competition, however at a club, I see all the good looking dudes and start feeling inadequate, start feeling like I need to be more macho or something. I'm asian, live in New York, so I also start feeling a little racially inferior, I don't see any other asians in the club, just a bunch of good looking white dudes. I rarely feel this during the day.

- The music...the heightened environment...the skimpy clothing. Girls seem scarier. Lol. I can get myself to approach a hottie in a crowded subway, but see that same hottie in a club and I freeze. During the day, I go in confidently and teasing with a good gentle energy and this works well for me. However this approach has not been as effective during the night, particularly with the "hotties". It just feels like I don't know hot to engage them, how to talk with them in a club, how to make that connection/hook.

I find that when I drink, I feel less inadequate and more confident, girls seem less scary, and it becomes so much easier for me to dance and have fun. I'm talking with everyone, grabbing girls hands and dancing with them, I express myself freely and also help everyone around me have fun. However I sacrifice my outer game and ability to think and strategize, so become largely ineffective.

But sober me in a club thinks too much, is overly self-conscious, feels inadequate. And realizing this, I try to snap out of it, try to force the fun, but this just makes things worse lol. I've never been able to get over this hump.

How do I get over myself? How do I have as much fun at a club sober as I do when I am drunk? It feels impossible, it feels like I have this shell that I just can't get out of without alcohol, and I would LOVE to get out of this shell sober.

I have a feeling these inner game issues (feeling racially inferior, feeling incompatible with hotties or that they will never like me) are actually deeply rooted and have always been there, but just more exposed in a club. My plan is more practice, more pushing my comfort zone, more reflection...but wondering if anyone has any specific tips/coaching out there. Thanks.
