Step 0 (Optional) : On the first day of class, sit in the back so you can see everyone in the class. As the teacher is taking roll, write down the names of all of the girls you find attractive. Alternatively if the student roll is posted online, use this to find hot girls in your class. Now do a Facebook search on all of the girls you find attractive to check if they're single or not. If you find a girl who is cute and also happens to be single, that should be the girl you pursue. If she has a boyfriend, now you're no longer wasting your time.

Step 1: Wait until the second or third day of class, and sit near the girl you like. You should sit either in front of her or besides her because it's easier to talk to her, if you sit behind her then it's harder to strike up a convo because she has to turn around to talk to you. You don't have to talk to her yet but by sitting by her, you're letting her get used to your presence and also sets you up to talk to her later. You can also generate some indirect attraction this way. Dress nicely, don't dress like a slob.

Step 1.5 (Optional): This one is a really good thing to do, especially if you're a shy guy. I call it generating indirect attraction. It's when you spark a girl's attraction or curiosity towards you without even saying a word to her. There's many different ways you can do it. For instance, if you're good at drawing, you can start drawing in class and let her see it. You can start writing poetry in class, you can do origami with your paper, you can crack some funny jokes in class. If you're successful, it will spark her curiosity towards you, and she will be thinking "who is this guy? I want to talk to him." So when you finally do talk to her, she will be more receptive.

Step 2: The next step is to strike up a conversation with her. There are two ways you can do this. The first way is to arrive early to class and talk to her 5 minutes before class starts, your opener can be something along the lines of asking about an upcoming assignment or talking about the teacher. You then continue the conversation by asking questions such as "whats your major?" or "what grade are you in?", "where are you from?" etc... The second way to talk to her is if you know she goes to a set location on campus after class, you can strike up a conversation with her there. Your opener can be "excuse me, you're in (whatever class you're taking)? And then ask about an upcoming assignment, then ask questions about herself to keep the conversation going.

Your goal should try talking to her for at least 7-8 minutes, because that's the amount of time that's usually needed before a connection is formed.

Step 3: Continue to sit by her and talk to her before class. Always be gauging whether or not she seems interested or not. If she seems friendly and receptive enough, go ahead and get her Snapchat.

Step 4: You should eventually ask her out on a date. You have two choices. You can either ask her out on a date right away, but if she says no it may be awkward to sit by her. Or you can wait until the end of the semester and ask her out then, but risk getting friend-zoned or her going back to her hometown and not seeing her for several months. The choice is yours.
