As crazy as it sounds, the most well known law of economy is 100% applicable to girls. In my case this phenomenon affects me in such a drastic and volatile way that I needed to make a post about it.

Picture a girl. She is good looking, not a model but in a scale from 1 to 10 you give her a 7/8. You barely know her from your friends but never had a particular interest in her nor did you made any relationship with her yet. She starts talking to you on social media out of nowhere, you take it relaxed and play it cool. Further in the conversation you notice she is making clear she is interested in you... BANG. That is when your image of her drops massively. You keep talking to her because you are not an asshole, but the more signs she shows, the less interested you become. Some days pass by and you decide to ask your friends their opinion about this girl, without telling them she's been chatting with you. They tell you she is not that good looking, and if they had the chance to make up with her, they would doubt it. BANG. Now you are not interested in her in any way. You see her now as an annoying mosquito which needs to be driven away.

So what happened? At first you thought she was pretty, a solid 8. At the end of the story she was a total NO for you. How the f...? Well, the explanation is simple. It's all about offer and demand. At first, your image of her was that of a pretty lady. So you automatically thought she was in -somewhat- high demand. She was like a rare gem for your subconscious mind. When she took the initiative to talk to you, you thought "oh well my chances of taking this gem can be high" so you proceeded to socialise, but in a casual way, just to find out what's this about. The offer went from zero to an interesting level. Let's see what happens. When she threw the definitive sign of interest into the conversation, you realized she is not as rare as you thought. Getting her would be an easy job for you, so why bother too much? Maybe it's better to not give her too much attention and leave her for scarcity times. The offer went from "interesting" to "abundant". Up until now, her physical image stayed the same for you. Maybe she was an easy job, but she still remains being pretty. Well, when your friends told you they wouldn't want to be with her, this completely changed. You realized she is in really low demand, she is not valuable in the 'market'. At first you thought she was pretty, but now you think she is ugly and she is not worthy of you.

But let's go a bit deeper into the story. A couple years pass by and you discover she is now the girlfriend of George Ezra. You think to yourself "oh okay what the actual fuck" and proceed to kick your ass up for not giving her cances with you in the past. You thought she was not beautiful nor interesting; now you realize you were completely wrong. She is astonishing. And that becomes a fact for you in the following seconds. She came back to be a beautiful, precious girl for you. Again, offer and demand. Now that you saw she was in crazy high demand (she is now in a relationship with a high status person) your image of her turned upside down.

Now guys, this phenomenon may seem crazy but is 100% common, at least to me. Keep in mind I exaggerated the examples to make the point clear. If I sounded offensive I must say I wanted to explain myself, in no way I think a woman can be compared to an object.

Sorry if I made any language mistakes. My main language is actually Spanish.
