Lol why are kids always saying “slide into DMs”. You may as well be saying “Hi, I’m to insecure to talk to you in person so i’m going to call your carefully curated photos attractive(no shit, that’s the point).”

It’s called approaching her.

A) she just added you because or a relevant hashtag and people like following people just to get more followers. B) she is interested in seeing more from you. C) it’s instagram... who cares ;). It’s that black mirror episode made real.

All of these scenarios can be addressed by talking to her in person. Something that is happening less and less frequently as people fall back to the safety of being rejected and ghosted online. At least nobody else saw, am I right?

I want out to a bar a few nights ago. I didn’t pull out my phone once. There were guys on either side of me with their faces buried in theirs. I ended up approaching a girl with her friend at the tail end of her birthday.

I was the only guy that night that actually made eye contact with her, never mind walk up and say “hi.” She was cute. Turns out we had a mutual friend so I told her we’ll figure something out later. I had to sneak off to go for a walk with someone else but it was a win.
