It's occurred to me that any time you debate someone blue pill, as long as you don't give up and press the issue, you can pretty much always maneuver them into saying NAWALT. (Call it Dallz_Beep's Law.) At that point, I like to lean back, smirk to myself, and think "check mate." There is no need to continue. Why? Because to ignore a clear, overall trend in favor of purposely focusing on a small smattering of exceptions is to purposely delude yourself.

So to illustrate how stupid the NAWALT argument is, let's come up with some equivalencies.

  • Not all frat boys drink beer.
  • Not all hippies take drugs.
  • Not all artists are poor.
  • Not all mainstream Redditors are liberal.
  • Not all large corporations try to avoid paying any taxes.
  • Not all breast cancer donation money goes to non-research.
  • Not all politicians are corrupt.
  • Not all liberal arts majors are un/underemployed.
  • Not all white knights are beta.
  • Not all blue pillers slip up and say NAWALT.

If there's even one unicorn, somewhere in the world, then these statements are true. Therefore, one can be overwhelmingly certain that all of these statements are true. Yet they all ignore practical reality.

What can you come up with?
