You took the single biggest step into overcoming that shitty mindset which is aknowledging that is part of you and that you need to work on it to establish a happy and healthy life.
Now I don't like giving pads on the back specially because you don't need them right now. What you do need is some practical advice on how to be a better man and build up that self-esteem and positivity, because a lot of that resentful behavior comes from insecurity.
Create a daily routine that involves:
You can probably try on different stuff like positive affirmations, cold showers and all that stuff you see wandering on the internet. Add on things you think are going to help you but always be honest about it. If you're consistent with these things you'll see a major shift in the way you feel and behave.

I agree with everything you said except that I don't think of hobby necessarily has to be something that helps you connect with other people, like some of my hobbies are windsurfing riding dual sport motorcycles and flying RC plane that's currently out of commission but none of them really get me out there meeting people as much as you might think. But the fact is they do get me out of the house and I enjoy the s*** out of each of them, so yes it's good to build social activity into part of your normal routine like jogging along the beach versus jogging at the treadmill on the gym but the bottom line is hobbies are for your personal enjoyment and although it's nice to double dip and get a little bit of social interaction from your hobbies I don't think it's necessarily requirement because some hobbies are just kind of solo

Absolutely buddy, I like to push towards real-life connectivity because a lot of the time people who dwelve too much in videogames are really prone to isolation. If you find hobbies that get you with other people that's brilliant but there's nothing wrong with stuff that you enjoy by yourself, specially if it gets you out of the house!

Yeah video games and watching TV unless you're getting paid for it somehow are definitely not worthwhile life Endeavors in my opinion and like I said when I started to think about life is the ultimate game I realized that I was leveling up digitally much more than physically and that got me bummed out enough to get my s*** together, get a master's degree and get a job at a good company, it's not a great job but it's a good company and I'm working on it, foot in the door and all that s***

I stopped gaming so much and realize that life is the Ultimate Game worth winning and leveling up at. Also if you don't mind me asking are you using any narcotics frequently because they can mess with your brain to, cigarettes, alcohol, and others including prescription drugs will give you high highs and low lows
