First thing to do is joining a group. You‘ll be astonished how easy it can be if you introduce yourself as someone who just moved to town.

You gotta know where it's acceptable to go solo. Clubs where you dance is a good spot. You could always dance with a girl and if she asks just tell her your friends are around somewhere. Dang?! Can't find them, guess they took off. A good spot are more chill relaxed bars. Every neighborhood has one. You can just play pool by yourself or sit at the bar. Eventually you'll see an opportunity to approach someone. Also, you can make friends when out. I always end up meeting new people that I could hang with.

Just pretend your friends are there and just do rounds hitting on girls. Going out solo has been the only time I’ve had girls approach me at night.
