Accentuate the best aspects of yourself. Dig deep, even though it might be hard to do so. As someone whose self-worth was really low months ago, lean towards your most positive aspects and what you know is amazing about yourself versus what you don't like. I'm 6'2, lost a ton of weight in the last few months down to about 300. Am I proud that I was overweight for years? Nope, but I am proud that I've shed the weight and I'm getting close to when I played football and wrestled in high school. I feel like that guy again, someone who led and set examples for others when I was an athlete, I'm back in that mindset, and unquestionably I do think getting in better shape and being blessed with some height I am having an effect on shorter women I interact with. Women do seem to love a tall man who can make eye contact and push and pull in conversation. Kinda feels like going from a person who can do danger but also be protective and caring.

I was told for years by numerous friends I was one of the funniest people they've ever met. After a night of drinking at my rich buddies college, I had preppy sons and daughters of lawyers, politicians, doctors, etc. begging me to come out to parties with them. I held myself back on this aspect of myself because of how I felt on the inside and did not believe them because my self-worth was low. Honestly, the only reason I think I even developed a sense of humor and entertained anyone was because I had low self-worth and didn't know how to connect with others any other way. Now? Even if I bomb on a joke that I tell someone, who cares. I don't want to be around people who aren't able to laugh and be in a moment, and that is a value I'm not going to give up for someone's approval. And apart of that is loving and entertaining myself with laughter, I'm going to accentuate that even more. I just found out today that in a month I have to attend a mandatory session for my college or else I receive a hefty fine. Months ago I would have grumbled about it to everyone and let it get to me, instead I decided to just laugh and say out loud to myself "anything to make a dollar, this fucking school." Made a note in my phone calendar and went on about my day just chuckling about it because I found it funny at nobody else's approval.

I think there is an energy to accentuating the positive aspects of yourself and being unapologetic for the real you. I'm going to watch a girl I know perform at a club tonight, and I'm going by myself (going anywhere by myself wasn't even happening months ago because of how low I felt, I was practically scared shitless to leave the house). Crazy thing to me is, the last thing on my mind is taking anyone home. I know that may sound like its crazy, but I just love music and want to go have a good time. Goal #1 is to take care of me and make sure I'm out here enjoying myself and what I'm passionate about at my own approval. If I see some cool people I will definitely try to talk to them and make connections, but for once I'm starting to feel like I'm good enough and the aspects that people like about me are most likely not just lines I'm being fed. I just want to thank this reddit forum for giving me that extra little push to love myself and be more bold when it comes to being the person that I actually am/want to be and not some phony character only trying to get laid. I had expectations that getting into game or self-improvement was going to be me scamming people into liking a fake version of myself to some level, but in reality forums like this get a bad reputation. You guys are so supportive of one another and for the most part genuinely want to see men become the best versions of themselves so that they can lead fulfilling lives (in every category, not just sex life). I'm learning that the point is I already can be the man I want, I just need to accentuate what I love about myself and that is a way in which others will too. Thanks guys.

TLDR; Be the best aspects of yourself. If there are things you find that others like about you, accentuate them. When you realize you are still you but the most self-approving version, you will find ease into the vast social world.
