Yeah lines like that are cringy and can torpedo you instantly, but it was probably an overall aura of neediness that you put off after you got the kiss.

If I were in her situation I would get buyers remorse and ghost. She didn't want to fuck after you asked her to (asking her back to your place is equivalent to saying "wanna fuck?"). So then I give him my number and shortly thereafter he texts me this cringy line "hey beautiful text me when you're home safe". Why is this guy that I just met calling me beautiful? It sounds like he has an agenda, but is masking it by being "nice".

Also the fact that you all kissed does not mean a ton other than that she liked the emotions she was feeling from you in that moment. You probably got excited since you kissed her and got needy thereafter. Nothing turns a woman off more than neediness. You can tell that you got needy in that you were talking to your uber driver about her and what you should text her.

Ultimately, I would look at it as a new experience to not be needy and move on. There are plenty more women out there; don't get hung up on this one.

As you learn more you will have better and better interactions and will hone that social acuity more. The situation simply didn't call for a text like that.
