If you've been alone with her twice and didn't escalate physically, there's a 90% chance she already sees you as just a friend.

It's easy to check her attraction levels, though. Just try to escalate and see how she reacts:

Touch her shoulders when you speak, then thumbwrestle, then do a palm reading routine, then bite her arms, then have her piggyback you for a few seconds, then massage her shoulders as you take a break from hiking (and ask her to massage you), then smell her neck, then bite her neck, then play with her hair, then whisper in her ear, then kiss her cheek, then kiss her lips.

If you feel some resistance as you escalate, go back a step, show disinterest, DHV then escalate again.

But if it just feels weird to you/her that you are touching her, you're in friendzone.

Your instincts were right, most girls would not agree to go hiking alone with someone they don't feel safe/comfortable around!
